Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali out on OTT: Here's where to enjoy Asif Ali's latest film on men's rights

Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali, another recent Malayalam film starring Asif Ali in the lead role, has debuted digitally. The movie, which is directed by debutante Sethunath Padmakumar, is streaming now on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium.

Four months after its theatrical release, the movie is making its OTT debut. With English subtitles, Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali was made accessible on both platforms at 12 am on October 17. 

Sumathi Valavu, featuring Arjun Ashokan in the lead role, recently had its multilingual debut on the same platforms. On September 26, Sarkeet, Asif Ali's other film, went live on Manorama Max, garnering praise from many online. Mirage, the actor's most recent thriller, will be accessible in different languages apart from Malayalam on OTTplay Premium and Sony LIV starting on October 19. Renowned filmmaker Jeethu Joseph is the director of this movie, which also stars Aparna Balamurali, Hakim Shahjahan and Deepak Parambol.

Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali plot, review and other details

Temporary government worker Sahadevan is eager to wed Nayana and anticipates the two will have great times together. However, his fantasies are greeted with disappointment because his wife, Nayana, has no interest in him or their relationship. Nayana puts him into legal trouble within a few days of their marriage, ending up in a family court after making up claims of domestic assault and intimidation in the name of dowry. The film centres on Sahadevan's fight against prejudice in the name of law. 

After its June premiere, the movie received a mixed reception from viewers in theatres. Although the director's fundamental idea—that victims are agnostic of gender—might have been portrayed in a compelling fashion, OTTplay's review claims that a few writing flaws detract from the picture's enticing qualities as an engaging film with a major social message. Debutante Thulasi portrayed the film's female lead, with Jagadish, Harisree Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Azees Nedumangad, Prem Kumar, Manoj K Jayan, Balachandran Chullikkad, and Anand Manmadhan playing supporting parts.
