Rekhachithram star Asif Ali’s next film, Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali, is all set to hit theatres on June 6, 2025. The latest Malayalam film, directed by Sethunath Padmakumar, has already sparked some discussions after the makers released the teaser and other glimpses, which hinted at an incident of marital issues with the husband in the dock. Now, Jagadish, who plays an advocate in the Asif Ali starrer, talks about the relevance and relatability of the subject dealt in the movie and who is the culprit in the Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali.
Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali follows Sahadevan (Asif Ali), who faces a courtroom trial after he is accused of harassment over dowry. In a recent interview with The Cue Studio, Jagadish has said that the movie deals with a subject that is happening all around us.
“This is an incident that would have happened in our homes or nearby houses, that is still happening, and is likely to happen in the future also. We will be fully immersed in the subject,” insisted Jagadish.
“There will be discussions on whether Asif Ali 's Sahadevan is the culprit. But based on the film, I would say we are all culprits,” he added.
Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali had been postponed twice before. First it was announced that the film would release on April 3, but was postponed to April 17. Now, the film is set to release on June 6, Friday.
Apart from the Thalavan actor and Jagadish, the film also features Thulasi, Harisree Ashokan, Bramayugam actor Sidharth Bharathan, Azees Nedumangad, Balachandran Chullikkad, Anand Manmadhan, Neeraja Rajendran and Prem Kumar. Director Sethunath Padmakumar has also penned the film, which is backed by Naisam Salam.
Meanwhile, Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali is Asif Ali’s third film to release this year after Rekhachithram and Sarkeet. Rekhachithram saw Asif playing the role of a cop caught up in a murder investigation. On the other hand, Sarkeet portrayed the heart-warming bond between Ameer (Asif) and a child.
