Even as his films Atithi Devo Bhava and Black have completed shoot and are awaiting release, Aadi Saikumar is keeping himself busy with a flurry of acting commitments. He is now teaming up with actress Misha Narang for an untitled crime thriller, to be directed by a first-timer Sivashankar Dev. The film is being produced by Ajay Srinivas under Chaganti Production. The project, which was formally launched during Dussehra, has commeced its regular shoot in Hyderabad recently. Few key sequences are being shot at a private property near Kokapet in the city.
Actors Aadi Saikumar, Misha Narang and Bhoopal are part of the film's first leg of shoot. The makers label this a 'crime mystery thriller'. "The concept is novel and the screenplay is certain to keep audiences glued to the screens. Aadi Saikumar will appear in a never-seen-before avatar in the film. We're quite thrilled about it," the producer adds. Ali Reza, Nandini Rai, Tarak Ponnappa and Vasanthi play supporting roles in the film which has music by Anish Solomon and cinematography by G Shekar.
"It has been a long journey with Sivashankar to bring this project to shape. When I first heard the script from him a couple of years ago, I was very excited. He has great attention to detail and there was terrific clarity in his narration. Building on the premise, we have developed a wonderful script over seven months after several discussions and began shoot only after having a bound script. I am working with a young team for this new-age thriller. We have a very interesting title in mind which we'll reveal son," Aadi Saikumar had said at the film launch event a month ago.
Kannada actor Tarak Ponnappa is making his Telugu debut with the project. Tightlipped about his part, the actor shares he'll appear in a key role, adding that he took an instant liking to the script upon listening it. The director Sivashankar assures that the film will be relatable to audiences of all strata and expressed confidence on the film's success.
