Aadi Saikumar set to make his OTT debut this year

Aadi Saikumar is getting ready for his second theatrical release this after the family drama Atithi Devo Bhava, where he was paired alongside Nuveksha. His upcoming action thriller, Black, directed by GB Krishna, hits theatres this weekend on May 28, a Saturday release. Darshana Banik plays the female lead in the film where he turns a cop. Bigg Boss winner Kaushal Manda, Aamani, Surya, Prudhvi Raj, Satyam Rajesh, Thagubothu Ramesh and Shyam Krishnan too essay important roles in the actioner.

In a promotional interview ahead of the release, while talking about the popularity of digital content, Aadi shared, "One needs to adapt with the times, the OTT wave has changed the way audiences look at movies. They prefer a realistic approach these days. It has become a big challenge to bring crowds to theatres, there's so much content available within the grasp of your mobile. We need to make wise choices or else we'll become the butt of all ridicule."

When asked if he would be making his OTT debut anytime soon, he replied in the affirmative. "Yes, I am all set to make my digital debut, it'll be a big, promising project. The project is 80-90% conifrmed," Aadi stated. While stating that he has no issues choosing roles as a character actor, he, however, mentioned, "I may not have a problem with it but the decision will affect a lot of producers who're investing their money in my solo-lead projects. It's about doing justice to them because their money is at stake."

Aadi has also pinned his hopes on another release, CSI Sanatan. "We're seeing so many Malayalam and Tamil films driven by a single but unique idea. I'm trying to do something similar with CSI Sanatan where the entire story is about me, an officer, solving a case. The film's shoot is more or less done and I'm very excited about it," he added. Aadi's Black is produced by Mahankali Diwakar and has cinematography by Satish Mutyala. Suresh Bobbili has scored the music and Amar Reddy is the editor.
