Aadu 3 box office day 6: Will Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 delay help Jayasurya film become 2026 Malayalam cinema's first Rs 100-cr grosser?

Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1, the recently released Malayalam fantasy comedy drama might have been critics' favourite, have been doing wonders at the box office, with the Jayasurya-starrer being the highest grosser in Malayalam this year so far. Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1 has made a worldwide collection of Rs 91.80 crore so far within one week of its release.

Aadu 3 which released in theatres on March 19, had opened to mixed reviews, but a solid run on big screens. The fantasy comedy film starring actor Jayasurya in the lead role is already the highest grossing Malayalam film. As per the Sacnilk report, Aadu 3 has made Rs 91.80 crore, falling just Rs 8.2 crore from entering the 100-crore club. The film faced its major dip on Monday with Rs 3.83 crore earning which further lowered to Rs 2.84 crore on Tuesday.

However, on the bright side, Aadu 3 still can become the first Malayalam film in 2026 to enter Rs 100 crore, given Drishyam 3 starring Mohanlal which was slated for April 3 release, has now been postponed due to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Aadu 3, however will face competition from Nivin Pauly’s upcoming film Prathichaya, due for release on March 26, and Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros on April 2.

What do we know about Aadu 3?

Aadu 3, from director Midhun Manuel Thomas, is the third instalment in the franchise and traces the misadventures of Shaji Pappan and the gang. Featuring actors Jayasurya, Saiju Kurup, Vinayakan, Renji Panicker, Vijay Babu, Sunny Wayne, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Bhagath Manuel, Indrans, Bijukuttan, Sudhi Koppa, Harikrishnan, and others, Aadu 3 is divided into two parts, with the second part expected to hit theatres in December.
