Prithviraj Sukumaran recalls his emotional moment with Blessy
In his conversation with Galatta Plus, Prithviraj Sukumaran opened up about his highly emotional moment with director Blessy, on the day 1 shoot of Aadujeevitham in 2018. The talented actor revealed that the senior filmmaker walked up to him on the first day of the shoot, just before they went for the first shot of the film, and hugged him. Blessy, who was all emotional about his dream project finally going on floors after a long wait of 10 years, was emotional and broke down.
The celebrated director cried his heart out for over 10 minutes, leaving Prithviraj Sukumaran extremely emotional. The leading man confessed that even he couldn’t hold back his tears after witnessing Blessy’s emotional moment. This even led Prithviraj to realize that the filmmaker, who was at the peak of his film career, waited for a decade to make just this one film. Later, after wrapping up the film in 2023, the duo again had a very similar emotional moment together.
Blessy dedicated 15 years to Aadujeevitham
According to Prithviraj Sukumaran, director Blessy always envisioned Aadujeevitham on a scale that was unachievable for Malayalam cinema in 2008. After multiple delays, the film finally went on floors in 2018. However, later even the shooting schedules were delayed multiple times due to the shoot restrictions in India, and later, the COVID-19 pandemic and multiple lockdowns that hit the world. Blessy, however, never gave up and dedicated the long 15 years of his life and career to his dream project, which is based on Benyamin's novel of the same name.
