Aakanksha Singh had the audiences swooning over her for her performance in Malli Raava, her debut film opposite Sumanth, directed by Jersey filmmaker Gautham Tinnanuri. The actress followed it up with impressive roles in films like Clap and Devadas. She made her Telugu web debut with Disney+ Hotstar's gripping political drama Parampara, bankrolled by Arka Mediaworks. Now, the show is returning for a second season on the platform on July 21. The pre-release event for the same was held today in Hyderabad.
Speaking at the event, the actress said, "It feels great when someone recognises your worth in the initial days in an industry. I've only done a few Telugu films. When Hari Yeleti (garu) narrated the script, the first thing I noticed was that it was to be made by Arka Mediaworks, the makers of Baahubali. Who would've said no to them? It was a privilege to be a part of Parampara and play Rachana. I was excited because they believed I could pull off such a variety of emotions in my character."
"I never felt I was working when I was playing Rachana and could truly feel what she was going through. In the second season, she will be stronger and have a different dimension with each of the characters. I would like to thank the team of Arka Media, directors, cinematographer and my co-stars to make me feel like home every time I come here. I never felt like Hyderabad was a new city. I am grateful to have worked with Naveen, Ishaan, Sarathkumar sir, Aamani and other actors," she added.
Talking of her equation with her co-stars, Aakanksha stated, "Naveen Chandra, Ishaan and I are like buddies and we shared a great rapport on sets. We even have a common Whatsapp group. I am really missing Ishaan today. Parampara gave me an opportunity to witness many great characters. I have watched season 2 - I would say Ravi Varma, Naveen have a great pair of expressive eyes. Teja Kakumanu was part of the direction team for Devadaas before and it was great to work with him as a co-star."
