Mahabharata has Lord of The Rings twist. Aamir has shared that the movie would be made and released in various installments, much like Lord of The Rings. The actor also stated that the writing for the movie will not begin immediately because that itself would take many years. So, yes, even if the movie's preparations would commence from 2025, it would not actually go on floors for years.
Aamir Khan maintained silence over the speculation for Mahabharata casting process. Various names have come up over the years, but the Ghajini actor simply said that they will have to see who would be cast as what, depending on the script.
Last seen in Salaam Venky, Aamir Khan also almost confirmed that the film would need multiple directors. This is something that we have observed with YRF Spy Universe in India so far. Aamir also almost confirmed that he would not direct the project himself.
