Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan, has always been vocal about seeking therapy from a mental health professional. Even the actor has lent his support to his daughter in every possible way and spoken about how he has also dealt with mental health issues over the years. Now, Ira took to her Instagram page and shared a video in which Aamir and she are asking people to seek help from mental health professionals if they are in need of one, and there is nothing wrong with it.

In the video, both are heard jointly speaking in Hindi, which loosely translates as "To learn mathematics, we go to school or to a teacher, or to a tuition teacher. If we need a haircut, we go to a salon or a shop where a person trained in that job cuts our hair. If there's furniture work at home or plumbing work in the bathroom, we go to the person who knows how to do that job, or if we're sick, we go to the doctor."

Aamir and Ira normalise seeking professional help:

Aamir and Ira spoke one after the other and further said, "In life, there are many tasks that we cannot do ourselves, and we need the help of someone who knows that work. But we make such decisions very easily, without any shame or hesitation. If there's carpentry work, where do we go? To a carpenter. If we're not feeling well, it's obvious we'll go to the doctor. Similarly, when we need mental or emotional help, we should go to a person who can help us without hesitation and who is trained and professional."

The Laal Singh Chaddha star concluded by saying, "And friends, my daughter Ira and I have been benefiting from therapy for the past several years. And if you feel that you are also going through mental or emotional difficulties and there is some tension or stress, then you can also find a person who is professional, trained, and can help you. There is no shame in this."
