Imran Khan is making his comeback with his upcoming web film. The actor is finally returning to movies after a nine-year hiatus, and he has been dropping several hints about it since August 2023. However, the film won't be produced by Aamir Khan. Earlier reports suggest that Aamir will produce his nephew's comeback film but a recent report dismissed it.
Hindustan Times reported that Aamir Khan is not producing the comeback film of his nephew Imran Khan. A source informed the portal that there is a script that Danish Aslam has written, and it is going to be produced by him, Imran, and another mutual friend.
"Their friendship goes back 18-20 years. Aamir is not involved in any capacity with this comeback project. They took the project to a streaming platform, who prima facie based on the pitch level, gave it a thumbs up since there was no full screenplay. No agreement has been signed yet, that’s only done when the screenplay is approved,” the source added.
The portal also mentioned that he is going to be a film in the same zone as his previous feel-good films. The report also stated that Imran and his co-producers are avoiding comment on this since there is always a possibility that such things don’t actually go through. "Therefore until things are locked, the film will not go on floors. Not this year definitely,” the source added.
In Be A Man Yaar season 2, Imran revealed that he was not in a state where he could discuss mental health with his uncle, Aamir Khan. Imran told News18 Showsha that it was Ira Khan who initiated the conversation, which helped both Aamir and Imran open up and meet to discuss mental health.
Imran, who underwent therapy to be there for his daughter Imara, shared, "In our family, we’re trying to support each other in our mental health journeys."
Meanwhile, Imran began his journey in the industry when he was a child actor in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988). He gained immense fame after headlining Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008) co-starring Genelia Deshmukh.
Later, Abhinay Deo and Imran collaborated on Delhi Belly (2011), a black comedy that became one of his most acclaimed films.
