Aamir Khan has confessed that he did not charge a penny for his movie, Laal Singh Chaddha. The film, which was his last Bollywood film before his comeback, was declared a Box Office flop. Aamir has no regrets over not earning a single penny from the film despite the efforts he put into the making. The Raja Hindustani actor explained his thoughts during a recent event. Here's everything he said...

Aamir Khan did not charge a single penny for Laal Singh Chaddha. This is because he makes money only when his movie earns profits. Since Laal Singh Chaddha was a failure, he did not take any payment for the movie despite the efforts he put into it. "I dont’t regret. Bilkul sahi niyam hai yeh. Agar meri film nakamyab hui hai toh mujhe hi zimmedari leni chahiye. Yeh meri soch hai," the actor said at the recently held ABP Summit. The actor, whose last appearance as an actor was in a cameo in Salaam Venky, went on to call it a right move, according to him.

Aamir Khan respects those who demand a salary for the work they put in too

While he has a different method of charging money, Aamir also respects those who demand a salary for the work they put in. "Main jab kaam karta hoon toh mera saamne yeh nahi hota ki main 60 din kaam kar raha hoon toh mujhe aap itne paise de de. Woh meri soch hi nahi hai, kuch logon ki soch hai woh, badi professionally kaam karte hai ki main itne din aa raha hoon aap itne paise mujhe de de, phir chale na chale humko usse koi farak nahi padta," the actor said, while reasoning that they are not wrong in their thought process either.

Aamir Khan is about to make his grand Bollywood comeback with Sitaare Zameen Par. The movie is touted as the spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par, but is completely different in a lot of ways. Ghajini actor Aamir Khan had recently explained how his character in Sitaare Zameen Par is temperamental and rude, and the story explores the changes in his life that bring about a drastic personality change in him. Also starring Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary, this film eyes a Christmas 2025 release.
