Aamir Khan is adamant in his recent media statements that Sitaare Zameen Par is 'not his comeback film.' "Main kahi gaya hi nahi," is his general statement. The actor, last seen in Kajol's Salaam Venky, pointed out how he always worked on one movie every 3-4 years and thus, this is just his natural progression, is what Aamir has been stating in his media statements.

Why did Aamir Khan shift to Chennai, and more about Taare Zameen Par sequel

Aamir Khan had already introduced the world to his new girlfriend Gauri Spratt, and stated how he kept his relationship hidden. The actor had shifted to Chennai in order to be able to spend more time with her following his divorce with Kiran Rao.

The actor, while talking about Sitaare Zameen Par, called it Taare Zameen Par's 'spiritual sequel' while stating that it just felt like the right progression. The RS Prasanna (Shubh Mangal Saavdhan) directorial brings back Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh in Hindi films. Also starring Darsheel Safary in a special role, Sitaare Zameen Par is scheduled for theatrical release on June 20.
