The rumours might be that Ghajini actor Aamir Khan took a break from acting after Laal Singh Chaddha failure, with many assuming that the actor might have quit acting. Even though Aamir had not particularly spoken about it openly, his shifting out of Mumbai to start a new life all pointed towards the very thing. Now, the actor has denied that he ever took a break or is making a comeback into movies. Here's what he said...
Aamir Khan is adamant in his recent media statements that Sitaare Zameen Par is 'not his comeback film.' "Main kahi gaya hi nahi," is his general statement. The actor, last seen in Kajol's Salaam Venky, pointed out how he always worked on one movie every 3-4 years and thus, this is just his natural progression, is what Aamir has been stating in his media statements.
Hinting at his peers, Aamir Khan states how there are actors who deliver nearly 13 flops but continue working. As for him, Aamir is known to spend years behind a project, thus staying true to his tag of Mr. Perfectionist. Thus, he argues Sitaare Zameen Par is 'not his comeback film.'
Aamir Khan had already introduced the world to his new girlfriend Gauri Spratt, and stated how he kept his relationship hidden. The actor had shifted to Chennai in order to be able to spend more time with her following his divorce with Kiran Rao.
The actor, while talking about Sitaare Zameen Par, called it Taare Zameen Par's 'spiritual sequel' while stating that it just felt like the right progression. The RS Prasanna (Shubh Mangal Saavdhan) directorial brings back Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh in Hindi films. Also starring Darsheel Safary in a special role, Sitaare Zameen Par is scheduled for theatrical release on June 20.
