Aamir Khan reveals release date of Sitaare Zameen Par; Shares details about the film's subject

Sitaare Zameen Par is one of the most-awaited films of Aamir Khan. Produced by Aamir and Kiran Rao, the film will also star the actor in a key role. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film is likely to focus on societal awareness and the power of human connection. Now, in a new interview, Aamir Khan revealed the much-anticipated release date for Sitaare Zameen Par and also talked about the subject of the film. 

Sitaare Zameen Par release date

In a new interview with Pinkvilla, Aamir Khan revealed that his film, Sitaare Zameen Par, will be released on June 20. He said, "My next film Sitaare Zameen Par, is coming soon; we’ve decided to release it on June 20."

Speaking about the subject of the film, The Ghajini actor added that the film is, in a larger sense, about mental health in many ways. "When you see my character, you’ll understand what I mean. Anyway, it’s a film that’s connected to that theme—fingers crossed, I’m working on it right now," he said.

During a recent interaction with his China fan club on X, the Salaam Venky actor revealed that his character Gulshan in Sitaare Zameen Par fights with his wife and mother, and even "beats up his senior coach," and added Gulshan has "a lot of internal problems."

Khan also revealed that Sitaare Zameen Par is a thematic sequel of Taare Zameen Par and a remake of the Spanish film Champions.

The film also stars Darsheel Safary and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles. 

Meanwhile, journalist Himesh Mankad shared that Sitaare Zameen Par's trailer received a UA certification with a runtime of 3 minutes and 29 seconds. The trailer is likely to be released next week with Ajay Devgn's Raid 2, which hits theatres on May 1, 2025.
