Aamir Khan and all of his fans are eagerly waiting for the Bollywood superstar's comeback with his movie, Sitaare Zameen Par. The film will still take some time to release, and the trailer was supposed to be out already. Unfortunately, even the trailer release had to be delayed, according to a recent report. Another report reveals that Ghajini star Aamir is set to skip both theatrical as well as OTT releases for Sitaare Zameen Par. Here's everything we know so far...

Sitaare Zameen Par skips theatrical as well as OTT release?

Sitaare Zameen Par was supposed to be Aamir Khan's grand Bollywood comeback and viewers were looking forward to watching the movie in theatres. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the film would skip both theatrical as well as OTT release. Aamir is exploring the pay-per-view option with Sitaare Zameen Par and thus, he is opting for the YouTube release of his grand comeback film instead, the report states. "Pay-per-view creates more urgency and gives producers more control," the little birdie was quoted as saying. There is still no clarification on the same from either Aamir or his team, for the RS Prasanna (Shubh Mangal Saavdhan) directorial was announced as a theatrical release.

Sitaare Zameen Par trailer delayed?

A recent report on Mid-Day claims that the Sitaare Zameen Par trailer was supposed to release on May 8. Unfortunate circumstances caused a delay in the movie's trailer release, and it was a rather strategic move by the makers. They decided to take a stand, thus causing the delay in the trailer launch.

Why was Sitaare Zameen Par trailer release delayed?

"Considering the developments at the borders and the nationwide alert, Aamir decided to postpone the release of Sitaare Zameen Par’s trailer," a source told Mid-Day. They further shared Aamir's message for the whole situation and added, "His thoughts are with the Bravehearts of our Armed Forces. He feels it is important to respond with unity and restraint during this time."

Sitaare Zameen Par is the spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par and features Santosh Subramaniam actress Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh along with the Taare Zameen Par child, Darsheel Safary. The movie, touted as the Hindi remake of the Spanish film Campeones, is officially scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release.
