Aaryan box office collection day 1: Vishnu Vishal’s crime thriller debuts with Rs 1 crore

Aaryan, the 2025 Tamil crime thriller film starring actor Vishnu Vishal in the lead role, is now running in theatres. The actor has also doubled up as the producer of the film. As per reports, the film has made an opening with Rs 1 crore at the box office on day one.

Aaryan is one of the Tamil films to release in theatres this week. The film is running in big screens near you, and stars Vishnu Vishal in the lead role. As per Sacnilk report, the film has made debut at the box office with Rs 1 crore.

With the weekend having started, Aaryan is expected to get picked up, but also must face competition from other releases like Aan Paavam Pollathathu in Tamil, Dies Irae in Malayalam and Mass Jathara in Telugu. Aaryan is a crime thriller directed by Praveen and also features Selvaraghavan and Shraddha Srinath in supporting characters.

Aaryan revolves around a disgruntled writer who dies by suicide on the sets of a live talk show. However, before dying, the writer reveals that he will be murdering four people in the next days and will be revealing their names one hour before they get killed.

Is Aaryan a remake of Malayalam series?

Once Aaryan hit theatres, many were quick to point out the similarities between the crime thriller and the Malayalam web series Menaka. Both the titles share a similar plot, adding on to the fact that Praveen, who directed Aaryan, had written and helmed the Malayalam web series too. However, the makers of Aaryan have not stated that the film is a remake, officially, as of now.
