Aashram 3: Director Prakash Jha ‘sickened’ by Bollywood actors, claims they ‘don't know how to act

Prakash Jha, the Aashram director recently spoke up regarding his professional experiences with Indian celebrities and their work habits. During a discussion at Goafest 2022, the director disclosed that he would frequently engage in acting lessons so that he could connect with the actors in their language. Jha stated that he gained confidence from performing plays in class.

He continued further to remark that he was sickened by Indian actors, claiming that they had no concept what acting is really about. None of the actors he has worked with have ever questioned him regarding shooting days, shot schedules, venues, story lines, or anything else. That, as per the director, is the distinction between Hollywood and Bollywood actors. The performers there participate in workshops and continue to practise and improve their craft.

Prakash Jha acknowledged the controversy surrounding his works in a 2020 interview with Hindustan Times. This always occurs with all of his work until it is released; people will go to the courtroom, governments will ban his movies, and others will be worried, he explained. But after the movie is released, everything goes silent, and that will be the case again this time.

Prakash has always been outspoken about his beliefs and opinions. After the first season of his web series Aashram, featuring Bobby Deol, Jha received a huge criticism from a segment of the viewers who believed he was mocking a particular religion. The audience splashed out at him as a result of the series. After the success of the first and second seasons of the series, Aashram is all set for the third instalment.

Prakash is one of the most renowned filmmakers in the industry, with numerous awards under his belt. For films like Damul and Sonal, the director has even received prestigious National Awards.

Meanwhile, Prakash’s highly anticipated Aashram 3 will be available on MX Player. The popular series, which features Bobby Deol in the male lead, has received great reviews from both the public and professionals.
