Aaditi Pohankar’s Pammi has been fighting a battle throughout Prakash Jha’s series, Aashram. While she first fought wrestling matches, Pammi then fought against Baba Nirala and now, she is fighting a battle within herself. Something similar happened during one of the scenes from the show’s previous season.
Aaditi and OTTplay got into a discussion about the scene where Baba Nirala gropes Pammi during the wrestling match and smiles. Pammi smiled back at him because she felt something too. But of course, it is later revealed that Baba actually did not have many good intentions when it came to the ‘pehelwaan.’
In real life, Aaditi reveals that Bobby Deol was not ready to go beyond holding hands. In fact, even that was too much for him.
The actress told us that Bobby gets worked up during such scenes. She said that he would constantly talk to her and be scared that he is taking it too far, even when he first just held her hand.
“I had to ask him to relax. He's somebody who's so cautious, careful and such a gentleman that I had to tell him that he should do something more than holding my hand because otherwise it wouldn't show on my face,” Aaditi shared while calling Bobby ‘a gentle soul.’ She also recalled his expression which went like 'Aww man these things yaar'.
Aaditi then told us that she got into the scene believing she is the character. In fact, that is one moment she actually loves. “She kind of feels it but doesn't want it believe it to be true,” Aaditi shares. Of course, the moment came way before Baba Nirala, who is now Bhagwaan Nirala, drugged Pammi and took her virginity.
Talking about the scene where Baba did not care to take Pammi’s permission and raped her, Aaditi reveals she was extremely affected but has moved on by letting that moment remain with a false self. As Pammi, she was extremely angry with the Baba who the story is based on. She was trembling after the scene and came back to normal only after a cold water bath.
Prakash Jha’s Aashram is out on MX Player. The show’s third season released on June 3. During the third season itself, the filmmaker announced the fourth season of the show. The next season will release in 2023.
