As Fahadh Faasil’s film Aavesham gears up for a Vishu release, the beloved actor opened up about his character in the film. During a promotional event, the Vikram actor was asked if his look and character were inspired by someone. The actor revealed vital details about his character, Ranga. “He is a Bangalore-based goon, which is why we chose this look. Jithu (director Jithu Madhavan) made a note of the many people that he has come across and that helped in getting the right look for the character,” Fahadh revealed.

The actor added that the only challenge he faced was getting the language right. He revealed that since Ranga spoke a mix of Malayalam and Kannada, it was a little complicated to get the dialogues right. “Getting the language right was a challenge. My character neither speaks proper Malayalam nor Kannada. He is also a boisterous and loud character. So, I had to ensure that I got all of that right,” Fahadh said.

More about Fahadh Faasil’s character Ranga in Aavesham

Fahadh character Ranga is a spin off of Chemban Vinod from the 2023 blockbuster horror comedy, Romancham. Earlier, comparisons were drawn between Ranga and Suriya’s character Rolex from Vikram. However, Fahadh set the record straight and said that his character is much more fun when compared to Suriya’s ruthless killer character, Rolex.

Tough box office competition for Aavesham

Three big Malayalam films will be released during Vishu: Varshangalkku Shesham, Jai Ganesh and Aavesham. Although Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Varshangalkku Shesham is in the lead in terms of screen count, Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham is expected to beat the rest at the box office since the Romancham spin-off is one of the most anticipated Malayalam films. Fans are excited about seeing their ‘Fafaa’ as an entertaining don.

Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Aavesham is about a bunch of college students who seek a don's help to fight their seniors. It is set to be released in theatres on April 11.
