Salman Khan’s upcoming film Bhaijaan seems to have gone through a number of changes since its inception. Earlier titled Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, the film’s cast included Salman’s brother in law Aayush Sharma, until reports started to emerge that the latter walked out of the film due to ‘creative differences’. Aayush recently set the record straight as to why he exited the film.
In conversation with Mid Day, Aayush said that the film had been planned almost five years ago, before the pandemic began. He had spoken with the film’s team before the story was conceptualised, and at the time he had been a part of the cast. Then, Aayush and Salman had shared the screen in Mahesh Manjrekar’s Antim: The Final Truth, which came out in 2021.
After Antim’s release Salman had felt that the duo’s appearance in Bhaijaan would be ‘too close’ together. Although audiences had loved seeing the duo together in Antim, Salman felt that them sharing the screen in Bhaijaan would ‘dilute’ the importance of their comeback. So it was decided that they would wait a while and focus on doing other projects before coming together for a film, which would be more exciting.
Aayush said that he was eagerly waiting for a chance to share the screen with Salman yet again. Calling it a great living experience, the actor said that although the two were family, they always maintained professionalism when they were on set together. Aayush spoke of how he could learn a lot from working with Salman, who he said brought a lot of energy to sets. “So I cant wait to be back on set with him(Salman)”, said Aayush.
Multiple reports had stated that Aayush’s exit from the film was due to ‘creative differences’ and that the actor had already started shooting for the film as well. Bhaijaan will also feature Pooja Hegde and Shehnaaz Gill in pivotal roles.
