Abbas-Mustan, who had helmed Kapil Sharma's Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and are producing the film's sequel, spoke about Jamie Lever's inclusion in the upcoming film. Jamie is Johnny Lever's daughter. Interestingly, they confirmed that the comedian is the one who introduced them to Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 director, Anukalp Goswami. "We felt motivated when Anukalp approached us with his script for Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 and decided to back him," Abbas-Mustan stated at the trailer launch event.

When asked about how did the idea for Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon sequel originate, Kapil Sharma revealed that since the fans of the movie demanded a sequel after Abbas-Mustan directorial, Anukalp thought why not. "Inhone bola kyun nahi," Kapil said, thus confirming that the movie took off thanks to one man's motivation to take the story forward. That is how Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 originated.

"The idea was not extra-marital, but how a man is stuck in marriages," Anukalp further shared. The same can be seen through the recently released film's trailer. It is about how Kapil Sharma's character(s) get stuck in three marriages owing to different reasons. While he mistakenly marries a different Muslim woman, his character is unconscious when marrying a Hindu woman. Similarly, he is stuck in a Christian wedding as well.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is scheduled for theatrical release on December 12. The movie will then be available for streaming on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium.
