Kunal Kemmu has impressed the Indian audience with his portrayal of SP Abhay Pratap Singh in the first two seasons of Abhay. The actor is now awaiting the release of the show’s third season.
Ahead of its release, the actor was asked about what the biggest struggle is when doing an OTT series spanning multiple seasons. Speaking to Pinkvilla, the actor replied on a humorous note that it is nice to be asked about challenges, saying this is the first time he has had a face-to-face interview in a long time due to the pandemic.
The actor then revealed that he was excited more than anything because Abhay had become the first Indian show to go to the third season and he felt amazing to be a part of the show as well as the name of the show.
I think we should take one step at a time. When we were doing season 1, we were just concentrating on that," he said, answering the initial question. Kemmu added that every time the emphasis is to get the particular season of the show right.
The show, which is directed by Ken Ghosh, follows Kemmu’s character, who is a cop with the mind of a criminal and a drive to keep going. The first season of the crime thriller series started streaming on ZEE5 on February 7, 2019.
Produced by Zee Studios, the third season of the show also features Asha Negi and Nidhi Singh in returning roles.
The third season of the show is set to start streaming on ZEE5 on April 8. The first two seasons are available on the streaming platform.
