Abhay Deol's Disney film Spin to release on Independence Day, know where you can watch online

Abhay Deol is making his Disney debut with the film Spin. The American film has finally got an Indian premiere, as the film releases on Disney International HD and Disney+ Hotstar Premium on August 15, 2021. Spin is directed by Manjari Makijany, the daughter of late actor Mac Mohan and also features Avantika and Meera Sayal in the lead roles.

Earlier while dropping the trailer of the film on his Instagram page, Abhay had written, "I am aware that most of my audience love me for making edgy, alternative narratives, that challenge the status quo. This is why this film is all the more special as it is a departure from my own status quo and catering to a much younger audience. It is a gem of a movie, that will leave you smiling and feeling good. Blessed to be a part of it!"

While describing the premise of Spin, the makers revealed that the story is about an Indian American teen who discovers her passion for creating a DJ. She mixes that blend the rich textures of her South Asian culture and the world around her. Talking about her life, it's all about her eclectic group of friends - Molly, Watson and Ginger, her after-school coding club, her family’s Indian restaurant, also her tight-knit and multigenerational family. 

However, everything changes when she falls for aspiring DJ Max and her long lost fervour for music is reignited. The teen then discovers that she has a natural gift for creating beats and producing music, but she must find the courage to follow her true inner talent.

Spin is dropping in India digitally 48 hours after its US premiere.
