Abhilash Pillai on making a big-budget prequel for Sumathi Valavu, trolls after OTT release

The writer of the most recent Malayalam movie, Sumathi Valavu, Abhilash Pillai, is now talking about the film's prequel as well as the negative feedback the movie has received online since its OTT release. The same characters from the first segment will not appear in this upcoming project. He disclosed that the movie is slated to be a big-budget production with more prominent stars in the lead cast.

Speaking about Sumathi's demise in the film, he disclosed that the Brahmarakshas also appear and it has been mentioned that they will become unbeatable through another human sacrifice. There are also a lot of enigmatic aspects and unsolved questions in this story. Sumathi is the one who keeps Arjun Ashokan safe hinting at some connection between them. "All of these aspects will be thoroughly examined in the prequel," he stated.
