Dassani’s debut film was the action-comedy Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, written and directed by Vasan Bala. The film also starred Radhika Madan, Gulshan Devaiah, and Mahesh Manjrekar. Premiering at the Midnight Madness section of the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota made a name for itself on both national and international stages before its theatrical release.

His second film, Meenakshi Sundareshwar co-starring Sanya Malhotra, was a big Netflix release which opened to mixed reactions. The actor is still waiting for a big theatrical release for one of his movies.

Dassani is now working on the Paresh Rawal starrer Aankh Micholi and an action romantic comedy titled Nikamma, directed by Sabbir Khan. The film also stars Shilpa Shetty and Shirley Setia.
