Bhagyashree's daughter, Avantika Dassani, is set to follow in the footsteps of her mother and brother. She has been cast in Rohan Sippy's untitled psychological thriller, which also stars Huma Qureshi and Parambrata Chattopadhyay, according to mid-day.
As per a source familiar with the show, which is produced by Applause Entertainment, it is currently filming in Mumbai. The source told the tabloid that the shoot began late last year for the team.
The report further suggested that despite the fact that this is Avantika's first project, she has given a strong performance, holding her own against seasoned performers such as Parambrata and Huma.
According to the source, her character is multifaceted and has an impact on the plot. The creators are in talks with a major OTT platform and hope to premiere the film later this year.
Meanwhile, Sippy has been applauded for his latest outing, Aranyak which is currently streaming on Netflix. The filmmaker co-wrote and produced the series, featuring Raveena Tandon and Parambrata in the lead roles.
Talking about Huma, the actor is currently shooting for the second season of Maharani, which is a SonyLIV original. Her next OTT outing is Monica, O My Darling, directed by Vasan Bala and to be streamed on Netflix. The film also stars Rajkummar Rao and Radhika Apte in the lead roles.
Moreover, Abhimanyu also had his second release, Meenakshi Sundareshwar, after his debut with Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. The romantic film, featuring Sanya Malhotra as the female lead, was released on Netflix in 2020. His next films are Aankh Micholi opposite Mrunal Thakur and Nikamma, co-starring Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Shirley Setia.
