Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali OTT release date: When & where to enjoy Asif Ali's thought-provoking film online

Asif Ali's another recent film, Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali, will be accessible online soon. ZEE5 has acquired the digital rights of this movie, which released in theatres in June.

Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali OTT release date

The film is making its OTT debut four months after its theatrical release. It has now been confirmed that Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali will be available on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium from October 17. It is expected to stream in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi as well apart from Malayalam. 

Recently, Arjun Ashokan-starrer Sumathi Valavu debuted on the same platforms in multiple languages. The horror comedy is partly based on the real story of Sumathi Valavu, which is based on a local folktale prevailing in Trivandrum. Asif Ali's other film, Sarkeet, began streaming on Manorama Max from September 26. His other 2025 release, Rekhachithram, can be watched on Sony LIV as well as OTTplay Premium.

Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali plot and other details

Sahadevan, a temporary government employee, is excited to marry his future wife and hopes the two of them will have a happy relationship ahead. But his wife, Nayana, doesn't care about him or their marriage, thus his aspirations are met with disappointment. After Nayana fabricates allegations of domestic violence and harassment under the guise of dowry, he immediately faces legal problems and ends up in a family court. Sahadevan's battle against bias and his legal articulation of the truth are the main topics of the movie. 

According to OTTplay's review, a few writing errors take away from the film's appealing characteristics as an enjoyable film with a significant social message, even though Sethunath Padmakumar's main idea—that victims are agnostic of gender—might have been presented in a convincing way. The film's female protagonist was played by debutante Thulasi, while supporting roles were played by Jagadish, Harisree Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Azees Nedumangad, Prem Kumar, Balachandran Chullikkad, and Anand Manmadhan.
