Abishek Ambareesh and Aviva Bidapa get engaged in an intimate ceremony in Bengaluru

Not very long ago, we reported that actor Abishek Ambareesh and fashion designer Aviva Bidapa were set to become the new couple in Tinseltown. Speculations were rife at the time about the two planning on getting engaged sometime in December, although the official confirmation on the same was yet to be made by either party.

Well, turns out that the rumours were true after all as pictures now emerge from the intimate engagement ceremony of Abishek and Aviva. The intimate event, held at the Four Seasons Hotel of Bengaluru on December 11, was attended by both families - Abishek's mother and member of parliament, Sumalatha Ambareesh, and Aviva's parents Judith & Prasad Bidapa - as the celebrations got underway amid a crowd of approximately 200 people.

"The event was an intimate, happy affair at the Four Seasons Hotel with a considerably small crowd. DBoss (Darshan Thoogudeepa) was here along with me, Dr. K. Sudhakar (Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education of Karnataka), producer Rockline Venkatesh, and a few others," shares filmmaker S. Mahesh from the engagement ceremony. S. Mahesh, known for making films like Ayogya and Madhagaja, is set to direct Abishek Ambareesh in a mega period film which is set to go on floors very soon.

Darshan, the Challenging Star, has shared great camaraderie with the Ambareesh family over the years and was also an instrumental figure in Sumalatha's pre-election campaigns in 2019. The Kranti actor could be seen spreading cheer and lighting up the event with his presence.

On the work front, Abishek Ambareesh will be seen playing a tough cop in Suri's Bad Manners, which is slated to release in the first half of 2023. He will also be seen in S. Krishna's period action love story Kaali alongside Kantara girl Sapthami Gowda. 

Aviva, the daughter of the very popular fashion stylist and choreographer Prasad Bidapa, is an entrepreneur who has her own line of swimwear called Aviva Swimwear. She also works as a director at a fashion event management firm.
