According to Megan Fox relationships can be ugly, yet give you a chance to become a stronger version of yourself

Megan Fox is currently busy with her latest poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous. Through this book, the actress showcases her wicked humour throughout a heartbreaking and dark collection of poetry. Over the course of more than seventy poems Fox chronicles all the ways in which we fit ourselves into the shape of the ones we love, even if it means losing ourselves in the process. The book will be published on November 7.

What is Megan's perspective?

Keeping aside her acting career, the Expand4bles star recently opened up about her personal experience in relationships. She told People, “It comes from a lot of places. Some of it is literal, while other parts are allegorical. Some poems contain a Grimm's-fairy-tale-type element, and others serve the same purpose as memes in online culture."

Megan and MGK's engagement

Megan, who got engaged with MGK in January 2022, poetry is something that gives her a lot of space to experience some catharsis through art, which acting never provided her. According to her, relationships are quite complicated. It's not a fairy tale for everyone.

“Relationships are not pretty. They are ugly. Sometimes they are like a war. But through a wound enters an opportunity to grow and become a stronger, more whole version of yourself”, she shared.

Megan's secret

Megan also spilled the beans that she did not send the majority of her writings to the editor because they were too graphic and unsettling for others to read. She's already aware of facing severe criticisms for her latest book. “I have been in the public eye for a long time and my career has been one long witch hunt," Megan said. "So nervous? No. I expect a mixture of admiration and vitriol from the public.”
