Acharya: Producer plans to release Chiranjeevi-Ram Charan’s movie in 2,000 screens

Acharya, which will see Chiranjeevi share screen space with his son Ram Charan, is a highly-anticipated movie in the Telugu industry. The producer of the project has now opened up about information regarding the movie, including its release. 

Talking to Pinkvilla, Anvesh Reddy revealed that they are yet to come up with a date to release the movie’s trailer. “We might do it around two weeks before the release. Trailer launch may not be on a larger scale but we will have a pre-release event, which will be done close to a week before the release,” he said. 

Reddy added that the pre-release event will be a large-scale event and everyone including the fans and the media and that they will decide on the plans soon.

The producer also opened up about the movie’s release, stating that they will look to find 1,500 to 2,000 screens for the movie in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He added that there are no plans to make it a pan-Indian project and a dubbed version in Hindi or other languages will not be released. 

The portal had earlier reported that Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi will spend about 20 to 25 minutes together on screen in the action drama. Backed by Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment, the movie is directed by Koratala Siva. 

Apart from Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi, the movie also stars Pooja Hegde, Kajal Aggarwal, Sonu Sood, Jisshu Sengupta, Saurav Lokesh, Kishore, Posani Krishna Murali, Tanikella Bharani, Ajay and Sangeetha Krish in supporting roles.

Having pushed back its release date several times due to multiple reasons, the movie is now scheduled to hit theatres on April 29.
