Acharya teaser: Ram Charan as Siddha switches between agreeable saint and fierce protector

Ram Charan fans who are eager to see more of the star donning his fierce persona in Acharya, look no further. The star has recently unveiled the latest teaser centred around his character Siddha, from his upcoming film.

The teaser opens with the lyrics of the sanskrit mantra, Sahana Vavatu, and viewers get a glimpse of Ram Charan as Siddha. He dons a saintly saffron garb, complete with rudraksha beads. Siddha initially seems the very picture of piety and goodness, as he participates in rituals, feeding the poor and being agreeable with all those around him. He is also seen doting over Pooja Hegde’s character. But as the teaser progresses, viewers see his more fiercer side unleashed, tackling all those who come in his way.

Acharya’s premise will revolve around a Naxalite who turns a social reformer and decides to rebel against the corrupt officials who misused the donations of a temple.

The upcoming action drama is directed by Koratala Siva and will see Ram Charan share the screen with his father and fellow actor Chiranjeevi. The latter will play the role of the titular protagonist. In addition to the duo and Pooja, the upcoming film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sonu Sood and Tanikella Bharani.

The film is produced by Ram and Niranjan Reddy under the banners of Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment.

Acharya will be released in theatres on February 4, 2022. The streaming rights of the film have reportedly been acquired by Amazon Prime Video.
