Actors Aari Arujunan and Lakshmi Menon are set to team up as leads for an upcoming Tamil film, the former took to social media to share the news recently. However, much about the film has been kept under wraps.

Sharing some photos from the location, Aari Arujunan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "After success of my Cheran’s journey web series My new film with Lakshmi menon. Looking forward your love and support.”
The film will be directed by Rajasekarapandian and backed by the banner Madras Deck Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The project is yet to be titled and tentatively goes by the name Production #1. Apart from Lakshmi Menon and Aari Arujunan, the film also stars Mime Gopi in a prominent role. It is to be noted that the upcoming film will mark the first collaboration of Lakshmi Menon and Aari Arujunan. The makers are yet to announce the key details of the film like the genre, cast, technical crew, and release date.
Lakshmi Menon and Aari Arujunan’s body of work
Aari Arujunan began his career in 2005 and landed on his lead role in 2008 with Aadum Koothu. Having said that he gained some recognition with the 2008 film Rettaisuzhi. However, the actor landed on his big break after he bagged the title of fourth season of Big Boss. He was last seen in Cheran’s Journey web series, helmed by Cheran. It is streaming on SonyLIV. He plays one of the five candidates shortlisted for a possible in a top company.
On the other hand, Lakshmi Menon was last seen in Chandramukhi 2, in which she played a central character alongside Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut. She will also be seen in Sabhdam, a horror thriller film directed by Arivazhagan, and co-starring actor Aadhi. She will also play a doctor in Malai, a rural drama starring Yogi Babu.
