Celebrated actress, Seema Pahwa, who played a pivotal part in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi and worked with the Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt for the first time reveals that initially, she had some preconceived notions about the young actress that eventually changed through the shooting of the film.
Speaking during her interview in the Unfiltered By Samdish show, Seema said, "On the first day of our shooting, I thought that I might be facing some problem with Alia because usually when a youngster achieves a lot of success at a very young age, they usually behave differently with people around them. Alia became a superstar so young and I assumed that she must be having some attitude, and might not agree with certain things."
Seema also admits that she had such an assumption also because of the fact that none of them met each other in the past or had any interactions.
Then the veteran actress shared, "But when I met her, I had to change my mind and for this, I would like to praise Soni ji (referring to Alia's mother, Soni Razdan) for the kind of great upbringing she has given to her daughter. Alia is very respectful to elders and especially towards the senior actors."
In the film Gangubai Kathiawadi, Seema plays the character of Sheela mausi, the brothel owner of Kamathipura. Alia plays the title role of Gangubai, loosely based on the real-life prostitute of Kamathipura, the redlight area of Mumbai.
In the recent past, Seema was seen in films like - Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Bala, Chintu Ka Birthday, Badhaai Do, and Raksha Bandhan to name a few.
