Adbhutam, starring Teja Sajja, Shivani Rajashekar, to release on Disney+ Hotstar; watch trailer

Another Telugu film Adbhutam, as speculated a long time ago, has opted for a direct-to-OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar. The film features Teja Sajja, Shivani Rajashekar in the lead roles and is directed by Mallik Ram, popular for helming web shows like Pelli Gola, Tharagathi Gadhi Daati. A single from the film, Perenti Oorenti, composed by Radhan, was also launched a couple of months ago. Chandra Sekhar Mogulla has bankrolled the romantic comedy that will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on November 19. Ahead of its OTT premiere, the trailer was launched on Tuesday.

Adhbutam is hinted to be a one-of-a-kind romance with an underplayed supernatural angle. The story is about two youngsters who forge a strong rapport but are shocked to realise that they have the same mobile number for reasons beyond their comprehension. When they try to seek answers, they are naturally baffled. What connects the two? What's the backstory behind their same mobile number? The trailer doesn't reveal much and the suspense continues to haunt you long after you watch it.

Comedian Sathya appears in a key role in the film whose story is written by noted filmmaker Prasanth Varma (known for films like Awe, Zombie Reddy, Kalki). Writer for films like Oh Baby, Nene Raju Nene Manthri, Kalyana Vaibhogame, has provided the screenplay and dialogues for Adbhutam. Cinematographer Vidhyasagar Chinta, who has worked in films and shows like Raja Vaaru Rani Vaaru, Falaknuma Das, Vellipomakey, Nanna Koochi, has cranked the camera. The film is edited by Garry BH and co-produced by Srujan Yarabolu. Lanka Santoshi is the costume designer.
