Adipurush: After Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon, Prabhas wraps up the shoot of Om Raut directorial

After months of the extensive shooting of Adipurush, the filming for Prabhas' forthcoming mythological flick has come to a close. Director Om Raut took to his Twitter page and announced by sharing a few photos from the wrap-up party. In the photos, Prabhas, who is seen in a beefed-up look, is all smiles and happy poses with Raut and producer Bhushan Kumar.

The filmmaker shared the photos with a tweet stating, "Last day, last shot and tons of amazing memories but the journey is not over yet! See you soon, darling #Prabhas #Adipurush #AboutLastNight."

Taran Adarsh, the film critic and trade analyst, also shared the news on Twitter by posting photos from the shooting wrap-up. He tweeted, "PRABHAS COMPLETES 'ADIPURUSH' SHOOT... #Adipurush - directed by #OmRaut - completed 100 days of the shoot... It was also #Prabhas’ last day of shoot for the film... Stars #Prabhas, #SaifAliKhan, #KritiSanon and #SunnySingh... 11 Aug 2022 release #IndependenceDay weekend. #Prabhas22."

According to reports, Prabhas will play Ram in the film, which also stars Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh. The Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor will play the role of Lakshman, while Kriti will play Sita and Saif will be seen as Raavan. The film, which is set to be released in theatres on August 11, 2022, began filming in February.

A few weeks back, both Saif and Kriti announced that they had wrapped the shoot of the forthcoming film. 

Adipurush will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The mythological film is co-produced by Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair.

On a related note, Adipurush's release date clashes with Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan, which has also been set for release on the same day next year. The film reunites Akshay with Aanand L. Rai and features Bhumi Pednekar as the female lead.
