The Om Raut directorial stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles
Adipurush is one of the most-spoken-about movies in the recent times. With its release today, it is even more in news, even if not for the right reasons. The first day of the film is likely to be huge, for it might gross Rs. 100 crores in India alone.
A report on Ormax Media suggests that Adipurush is likely to earn Rs. 90.8 crores on day one i.e. its opening day. This is the collections from all languages (Telugu, Tamil etc), all across India. The movie has not been appreciated by the critics as well as viewers.
Adipurush is the retelling of the Indian mythology, Ramayana. Prabhas plays the role of Lord Ram in the film, while Kriti Sanon is seen as his wife, Goddess Sita. Sunny Singh is seen in the role of Lord Ram’s brother, Lord Laxman. Saif Ali Khan plays the antagonist, Raavan, in the movie.
Even before its release, Adipurush was panned by the viewers for its VFX. However, as more clips from the film were revealed, they too got curious about the movie. Further, when the songs from the film released, there was no going back for them.
Unfortunately, now that Adipurush is not getting a good word-of-mouth from anywhere, the movie might last only for a short span of time at the Box Office. The weekend collections for this one will be crucial.
Adipurush is an Om Raut directorial which sees Prabhas and Kriti Sanon pair up for the first time. Om had last helmed Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
