Adipurush is a fiasco that clearly leaves no effort to make a mockery of the epic, Ramayana. From poor quality of visual effects to abysmal dialogues, this movie has drawn criticism from all sections of society ever since it hit the theatres on June 16.
To top it all, the makers of the film are nowadays facing severe threats from extremists' groups, who allege that Adipurush tampers the image of holy Gods and Goddesses.
Just a week ago, the dialogue writer of Adipurush, Manoj Muntashir received a death threat from a terror group following which Mumbai Police decided to provide security to him.
In a fresh development today, Allahabad High Court has issued a notice to Manoj Muntashir directing him to be made a party in a plea seeking stay on the screening of the film. The Court also asked the Centre what action can be taken under The Cinematograph Act.
The matter will next be heard in the Court on June 28.
Meanwhile, Adipurush makers have now revised certain dialogues from the film. In a clip released online, Lord Hanuman (played by actor Devdatta Nage) can be seen telling Lord Indrajeet, "Kapda teri Lanka ka, tel teri Lanka ka, aag bhi tere Lanka ki, jalega bhi teri Lanka hi." In case you still missed, 'baap' has been replaced with 'Lanka'.
However, the quality of dialogues remains questionable.
Adipurush – a film made with a budget of Rs 500 crores – has only managed to earn Rs 279.78 crore in all languages in toto. This means that the producers are running at a loss of over Rs 220 crores. Directed by Om Raut, this movie features actors Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in key roles.
