Along with Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage, Prabhas was the driving force behind Om Raut's legendary saga Adipurush. This epic narrative has recently generated a lot of discussion around the nation.

But what has made a certain section of the audience members really furious is the kind of dialogues that have been used by Lord Hanuman's character. The depiction of Lord Hanuman, in particular, has come under the scanner because of some of the lines of dialogue given to the character in the film. Devdatta Nage, the actor who portrays Hanuman in the movie, has received hate comments as a result. Devdatta has been getting a lot of hate for his dialogue - “Kapda tere baap ka, tel tere baap ka, aag tere baap ki, aur jalegi bhi tere baap ki.”.

But who really is Devdatta and what's the kid of work he did before his role as Lord Hanuman in Adipurush? The actor was born on February 5, 1981 and hails from Raigad in Maharashtra. He originally became well-known for his role as Lord Khandoba in the 2014–17 Zed Marathi series Jai Malhar. In 2011, the actor made his television debut in the Veer Shivaji series on Colours TV. In it, he portrayed Tanaji Malusare. Before taking the lead in Jai Malhar, he was previously featured in supporting parts in Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Devyani.

With the Marathi film Sangharsh, he made his acting debut in 2014. In the same year, he appeared in his first Bollywood film - Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara Devdatta then went on to work in Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Interestingly, he earlier worked with with director Om Raut in his directorial, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.

Ironically, Devdatta had praised dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir at the trailer launch of Adipurush. He had said, "Every single day before starting the shoot, we used to chant 'Jai Shri Ram'. I have to say that Goddess Saraswati resides in the hands of Manoj Muntashir. He has breathed life into this epic story with his writing."

Meanwhile, Adipurush, the film starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, was released following a number of controversies. The movie, which is directed by Om Raut, premiered on June 16. Prabhas plays Raghav in the movie, Kriti Sanon plays Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan plays Ravan. The film is based on the Hindu legendary epic Ramayan.
