Since its premiere, Om Raut's Adipurush has generated a lot of controversy. The film has received a lot of criticism due to the weak dialogue writing and subpar VFX. Manoj Muntashir Shukla, the writer of the dialogues, came under fire for disrespecting the Ramayan. The writer, hence, requested police protection amid getting death threats.

The film, which stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan among others, has taken in Rs 340 crore at the international box office in just three days. Despite the incredible box office performance, the film is facing a lot of criticism. Manoj Muntashir, a co-author of Adipurush, has received security protection from Mumbai Police, according to the most recent report.

A tweet shared by news agency ANI reads, "Mumbai Police provides security to dialogue writer of #Adipurush, Manoj Muntashir after he sought a security cover citing a threat to his life. Police say that they are investigating the matter."

Manoj Muntashir announced on Sunday that some dialogues in Adipurush will be altered in response to the backlash and criticism. He stated in a statement, "I can give countless arguments in favour of my dialogues, but this will not reduce your pain. I and the producer-director of the film have decided that some of the dialogues which are hurting you, we’ll revise them. They’ll be added to the film this week. May Shri Ram bless you all."

Adipurush is a film based on Valmiki's Ramayan, and it is written and directed by Om Raut. On June 16, the movie opened in theatres to tremendous anticipation. The Om Raut-directed movie, which also stars Kriti Sanon as Janki, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, and Devdutta Nage as Bajrang, stars Prabhas as Lord Ram.
