Director Merlapaka Gandhi, whose career took off in style with hits like Venkatadri Express and Express Raja, is always known for his wacky comedy entertainers packaged well for the masses. The filmmaker, who wrote the story for Santosh Shobhan's OTT release Ek Mini Katha, is reuniting with the actor for a new-age thriller titled Like Share & Subscribe. Faria Abdullah plays the female lead in the project that's slated to hit screens on November 4.
Adipurush, Project K star Prabhas unveiled the theatrical trailer of Like Share & Subscribe earlier today. The story revolves around two travel vloggers Viplav and Vasudha, their romance and how they get entangled amidst a political conspiracy in a remote location. Viplav is introduced as a happy go lucky vlogger who'll do anything to increase the subscriber count on his channel and is smitten by a fellow-vlogger Vasudha. Despite his advances, Vasudha doesn't take him too seriously.
The story takes a serious turn over time and they find themselves in a dangerous situation stuck among politicians, goons and naxalites. How will the couple get out of this precarious situation? The presence of actors like Nellore Sudarshan and Brahmaji ensure a few laughs. While Like Share & Subscribe looks like a feel-good romance initially, there are interesting twists and turns in the plot, going by the trailer.
Vassant is the cinematographer for the thriller-comedy bankrolled by Aamuktha Creations, in collaboration with Venkat Boyanapalli of Niharika Entertainment (who had last backed Nani's Shyam Singha Roy). Praveen Lakkaraju, Ram Miriyala score the music for the film whose crew also comprises production designer Avinash Kolla, executive producer Venkatarathnam, to name a few.
