Actor Adith Arun, who has carved his niche in Telugu and Tamil film inudstries, with projects like Weekend Love, Tungabhadra, PSV Garudavega, Dear Megha and Katha to name a few, is changing his on-screen name. Henceforth, he shall be referred to as Thrigun. Last seen in SonyLIV's WWW directed by KV Guhan, the actor confirmed the news through a press statement yesterday.

"It's the New me, Yours #Thrigun," he tweeted, announcing the same, requesting the media fraternity and the film industry to refer to him as Thrigun. The name change will reflect in his next project with RGV titled Konda, a biopic of a real-life messiah, politician Konda Murali. The actor is confident that the biopic will lend a new dimension to his acting career and calls it a 'different film'. Irra Mor is cast as the female lead in the political drama.

The trailer of Konda will be launched later in the day at 10.25 am at the Konda family's camp office in Ramnagar, Hanumakonda, Ram Gopal Varma had confirmed earlier this week. While Thrigun's career in films took off with the Genelia starrer Katha nearly 13 years ago, he made his Tamil debut with Inidhu Inidhu, the remake of the Telugu blockbuster Happy Days. The actor has spent a major part of his life in Chennai and has been successfully balancing his stints in Telugu and Tamil industries over a decade.
