Aditya Roy Kapur-Ananya Panday broke up in April, close friend reveals

There were rumours about Aditya Roy Kapur and Ananya Panday parting ways after the latter shared a cryptic post but the same was forgotten about almost soon after. Now, it is revealed that the two have indeed parted ways and it happens to be around the time of Ananya’s post going viral. A close friend to both the actors confirmed the news and spilled details on what they are up to since the breakup.

What the close friend said

Bombay Times quoted a mutual close friend of the actors confirming that Aditya and Ananya broke up in April. “They were going quite strong, and the break-up came as a shock to all of us,” the friend said.

How are the two coping

Ananya is hurt by trying to move on with the help of her furry friend. Aditya is also trying to deal with the breakup maturely.

Almost hinting at her break-up, Ananya had shared a cryptic post on Instagram in April itself (around April 9). The post was about love returning if it is meant to be and how one is often left alone to learn a lesson they can learn only in solace. “If it is truly meant for you, it will return even if you’ve pushed it away, even if you're in denial, even if you assume something so beautiful could never be truly yours – because if it's truly meant for you, it is never not a piece of you. It is never not intricately tied into the depths of your soul,” a part of her post read.

When Aditya-Ananya almost hinted at the relationship

Aditya and Ananya’s link-up rumours first began on Koffee with Karan, when the host Karan Johar revealed that Ananya and Aditya bonded at a party. Ananya responded to that calling herself, “Ananya Coy Kapur.” Aditya and Ananya were reported to be dating for two years and often went on vacations together. Although they never confirmed they were dating, many photos from their vacations proved otherwise.
