The Night Manager is an upcoming espionage thriller series starring Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala. The makers have released the official trailer and fans are going gaga over the action-packed video. The Indian adaptation of the British television series is directed by Sandeep Modi.

Describing his character and how much it resonates with himself, Kapur shared in a recent trailer launch event that Shaan Sengupta (his character) has a lot of good qualities. "He stands up for principle, I would imagine he is punctual and he has a big heart," he added.

Moving on, the Fitoor actor spoke about his OTT debut and said, "When the opportunity arose, I was really excited by the chance to work on this particular piece. It felt like I saw the original ( Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Debicki starrer) and I loved it. And I loved what Sandeep (Modi) and the writers had done with it and honestly, it is a dream role for an actor. There's so much scope to put a lot of things in this role. So, for me, it was a no-brainer to just jump in."

On January 9, Kapur shared the first motion poster of the series on hi Instagram with a special caption that reads, "Duniya ke sabse dangerous arms dealer ko rokne ke liye there is only one weapon - ek hotel ka night manager. #HotstarSpecials #TheNightManager , #ComingSoon only on @disneyplushotstar #TheNightManagerOnHotstar (sic)."

The Night Manager, which also has Tilotama Shome in a key role along with Jagdish Rajpurohit, Salim Siddiqui, and Anand Vikas Potdukhe in supporting roles, is slated to release on February 17 on Disney+ Hotstar.
