Ekka, the sophomore film of actor Yuva Rajkumar, directed by Rohit Padaki, is, according to the team, a box office success, which they celebrated recently. The film, though, does not belong to Yuva alone, with the performances of actors like Adityaa and Poorna Mysore also called out for their significant contributions to the enhancement of the narrative as ACP Durga Prasad and Daddy, respectively.

Ekka is Adityaa’s second collaboration with someone from the Rajkumar family, a memory he shared during the success meet. Many years ago, Adityaa and Challenging Star Darshan were in Dubai when the latter got a call and all that the former heard was the latter promising whoever was at the other end of the line, that the two of them would be ‘there’.

Adityaa took the opportunity on the Ekka success meet stage to extend his heartfelt gratitude to Raghanna for giving him that chance to be a part of Arasu. Years later, when Adityaa received a call from producer Jayanna, asking him to do a pivotal character in Ekka, he had the exact same feeling he had when he was asked to do the Arasu cameo. “When we shot for the guest appearance in Arasu, it was literally like a party on the set of Appu’s film. We had the same atmosphere during the making of Ekka. I was so happy when I met Yuva for the first time and was mighty impressed by how down-to-earth he has remained, despite the lineage he hails from and the success he has found in his career,” added Adityaa.

Ekka released in theatres on July 18. The film, which has music by Charanraj, also stars Sanjana Anand, Sampadaa Hulivana, Atul Kulkarni, Puneet Rudranag, Shruthi Krishna, among others on the cast.
