Advocate Achinta Aich: Anirban Chakrabarti joins Ritwick Chakrabarti

Earlier, we reported that Ritwik Chakraborty will be seen as a lawyer in a new series on Hoichoi. Directed by Joydeep Mukherjee, the show, Advocate Achinta Aich, was also announced at the annual event of the platform. Anirban Chakrabarti will play his adversary. Rwitwik and Anirban will counter each other, one fighting for justice and the other for unjust.

The shooting will start in December. The story shows how Ritwik became a lawyer and in what situation he wants to leave the profession.

Anirban will play a negative character. Paran Bandyopadhyay will play Ritwik's father. Joydeep and Anirban have worked together previously. The Eken series, made by Joydeep and starring Anirban in the titular role, is a super hit. 

Joydeep Mukherjee told Anandabazar Patrika, “No Bengali series has been made on lawyers and courts. The subject is new and hence I am trying to bring some novelties.”

Earlier, Ambarish Bhattacharya was scheduled to play the character. The show will delve into the life of a simple lawyer – Achinta Aich – who only gets to handle small cases. He is an emotional person with integrity. The first season aims to show how he deals with an important case. Meanwhile, Hoichoi will also present another courtroom drama, Jaha Bolibo Shotyo Bolibo, with Mimi Chakraborty and Tota Roy Chowdhury in the lead. The shooting of this show has been completed.
