According to reports, actor-director Bala Kumar has bought the rights for Kali’s Tamil remake

Dulquer Salmaan is among the young Malayalam stars who have a pan-Indian appeal. He has successfully branched out into other South Indian industries within a short period of time. Not just this, but his films like Charlie, ABCD, and Bangalore Days have been remade in other languages. Now rumours are that another hit film of his is set to be remade in Tamil.
According to reports, Dulquer’s 2016 film Kali is slated to be remade in Tamil. Helmed by Sameer Thahir, Sai Pallavi starred alongside Dulquer in the film, which tells the story of a young man named Siddharth who has serious anger issues. His anger affects his marital life with Anjali, played by Sai Pallavi, who tries to help him overcome the issue.
The film received positive reviews and went on to become a hit. The movie was remade in Kannada as Kidi with Bhuvan Chandra and Pallavi Gowda ,and in Marathi as Circuitt with Vaibhav Tatwawadi and Hruta Durgule.
According to reports, actor-director Bala Kumar has bought the rights for Kali’s Tamil remake. There are chances that Bala may direct and star in the film. Bala is known for his supporting roles in both Tamil and Malayalam films. He has also played memorable characters in the Malayalam films Big B, Puthiya Mukham, Sound of Boot, and Veeram.
His directorial debut was the Malayalam film The Hitlist, in which he played the lead role. Bala’s family is closely associated with cinema, as his father, Jeyakumar, and his brother, Siva, are directors who work in the Tamil film industry.
Meanwhile, Dulquer is gearing up for the release of his film, King of Kotha. The period action film is all set to hit theatres during Onam. King of Kotha has a star-studded cast and is said to be the biggest film of Dulquer's career.
