Nirmal wants Saswata Chatterjee to work opposite Rituparna in his film
Nirmal Chakravarty debuted as a director with Dutta which features Rituparna Sengupta, Shaheb Chattopadhyay, Joy Sengupta, and others. The film ran in theatres for more than 100 days. Later, the film was dropped on Hoichoi. The director is going to begin his next project. But this time, he will team up with a new producer.
According to reports, the producers wanted Rituparna to be in the film. In an interview with Aajkal Dot In, Nirmal said, “I always wanted to make films based on literature. I feel this reflects the true flavour of our culture. The next one may also follow the suit. We are currently exploring the stories. We want it to be woman-centric. At the same time, the story must have enough space for the male lead. Once the story is selected, we will start the work on our script.”
Nirmal wants Saswata Chatterjee to work opposite Rituparna. He feels the actor opposite Rituparna should be an able performer and have a national presence. Nirmal intends to talk to the actor once they finalise the script. He further said that Saswata and Rituparna are a tested pair. They worked in Kamaleswar Mukherjee’s Goodnight City, Indrasis Acharya’s Parcel, and so on. “They have a solid understanding and chemistry,” said the director.
