After Dev, Rukmini Maitra falls prey to hackers

After Dev, its Rukmini Maitra’s turn. On Thursday, the YouTube home page of Dev’s production house got hacked for hours. On Monday, Rukmini took to her social media page also got hacked. 

The actress took to her Instagram and announced that her official Facebook page was under hackers’ control. “Hi, this is to let you know that my official Facebook Account has been hacked and compromised. Both my social media and legal teams are currently working on reviving it. Please do not respond or interact with anything on the page, until further notice,” she posted on her Insta Story.   

Rukmini has around two million followers on her page. She used the account to keep in touch with her fans and also for brand collaborations. Around nine months ago, she posted a photograph from her holiday in the Maldives. ‘Hey... Looking for a Caption here,’ she captioned. A reel from a particular community got posted on her page and that’s how she realised that her account was hacked. 

On Thursday, social media was flooded with some screenshots of a YouTube home page of Dev’s production house. In those screenshots, in the upper corner, is the poster of the film Projapoti, starring Dev and Mithun. But the problem happens if you scroll down. It shows several videos related to software. After the screenshots went viral, it was found out that Dev's production house's YouTube channel had been hacked.

Rukmini will be seen as Binodini in Ramkamal Mukhopadhyay’s film. Besides, it is rumoured that she will be seen as Draupadi in another project which is directed by the same director. There has been no confirmation of this news yet.
