After Fatafati, Deboshree Ganguly steps into the world of television

Subhashree Ganguly’s elder sister Deboshree Ganguly impressed the audience with her character in Ritabhari Chakraborty’s Fatafati. Now the actress is all set to make her debut on the small screen. Evidently, Deboshree is also gradually making her ground in the industry.

Deboshree will be seen as an important character in Leena Gangipadhyay’s new serial Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasa. The serial features Aparajita Auddy, Chandan Sen, Anashua Majumder, and others. Besides, it will be a debut for Anusha Viswanathan on TV as well.

In an interview with Anandabazar Online, Deboshree said that she is hopeful. “I am getting a scope to work with Aparajitadi which has been a dream. Initially, I was scared whether I could give time since I have a small business. But when I got an offer from Leenadi, I did not think twice. The serial’s story is different and I am a fan of Prakton’s Apadi (Aparajita). Hence, I said yes.”

The serial will tell the story of a mother-daughter relationship. Anusha Viswanathan will play Aparajita’s daughter. This will also tell the story of a middle-aged woman rediscovering herself along with her daughter. Aparajita’s screen name is Kojagari Basu. The teaser shows her dancing in the kitchen and singing Momo Chitte. Then her daughter Tota comes to do vlogging and takes her mom along. 

Aparajita took a month’s hiatus after Lokkhi Kakima Superstar. She acted in the movie Cheeni 2 and then came back to television once again. Aparajita told the media, “Many of my fans can’t buy the multiplex tickets to see me. Hence, I come to them through television.”
