Hrithik Roshan is reportedly ready to begin work on his next project, which is Ayan Mukerji's War 2. The first installment was released in 2019.
Hrithik Roshan is currently riding high on the success of his film Fighter. The aerial actioner marked the Bollywood actor's reunion with director Siddharth Anand. They first collaborated on the 2019 film War, which was a major box office hit. Five years down the line, Hrithik is all set to begin shooting for the film's sequel, War 2. This time around, the action-thriller will be helmed by Ayan Mukerji, who earlier directed Brahmastra, Wake Up Sid, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Amid the success of Fighter, Hrithik is reportedly gearing up to begin working on his next, War 2.
In the next few days, Hrithik Roshan is expected to begin his first schedule for War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji. According to an ETimes report, the actor has begun full-fledged preparation for the action thriller. The film will apparently go on the floor in the second week of February 2024. The report suggests that the first schedule of the movie will be entirely shot in Mumbai.
Having said that, Ayan Mukerji has already captured the scenic overseas location plates for War 2. As for the Mumbai schedule, a set is being constructed in the city while Hrithik gears up for the film's shoot.
The buzz is that Jr NTR will be seen as a deadly antagonist opposite Hrithik Roshan in War 2. This film will mark the South Indian actor's union with the Bollywood star. It happens to be one of the major highlights of the film. In the previous installment, Roshan shared screen space with Tiger Shroff in the movie, which was helmed by Siddharth.
For those who are unaware, War is an integral part of YRF's spy universe. Last year, Pathaan and Tiger 3, from the same universe, were released on the big screen. As far as War 2 is concerned, it is expected to have a late 2024 release. On the other hand, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan's Tiger v/s Pathaan might arrive in cinemas in 2025.
