Actor Rudranil Ghosh is all set to be back on stage after 17 years. In 2006, he acted in the acclaimed play, Fyataru. Now, he is working on Agnijol. 

Directed by Abir, the play will be staged by the theatre group, Titash. Rudranil took to his Instagram handle to reveal the news. Along with a photo of a rehearsal pad and a Puja, he wrote, “I am back on stage after 17 years after the iconic play, Fyataru, in 2006. This is the 10th production of Titash. Thank you, Titash, Sharbari, and Abir. This is fresh news at the beginning of the New Year. I hope the new year is prosperous for everyone,” The rehearsal has begun. The play is penned by Girish Karnad and translated by thespian Bibhash Chakraborty.   

Rudranil will also be seen in Zee5’s web series Shabash Feluda. Directed by Arindam Sil, Parambrata Chatterjee will be seen as Feluda, and Rwitobroto Mukherjee, as Topshe. The first season that will be dropped in May is based on Satyajit Ray’s Gangtoke Gondogol. 

Rudranil also plays an important character in Ajay Devgn’s Maidan. Produced by Bonny Kapoor, the film features a number of Bengali actors and will be released soon. 

Rudranil’s upcoming Bengali film is a sequel to the 2019 comedy Bibaho Obhijan. Directed by Soumik Halder, Abar Bibaho Obhijaan also features Anirban Bhattacharya, Priyanka Sarkar, Sohini Sarkar, Ankush, Nusrat Faria, and Sourav Das. The film will be released on June 8. Besides playing one of the key characters, Rudranil has penned the script for the film. The film is shot in Bangkok and Kolkata.
